As part of our volunteering offer, we encourage you to gain skills that can help you in the future.

We offer a great deal of informal training tailored to your needs and requirements.  Just let us know what type of skills you’d like to develop and we’ll make sure you receive as much in-house training as possible.

Participants aged between 16 and 25 years old are classed as ‘v volunteers’.  V is the national youth volunteering charity and one of our funders.  We offer two vAwards: v50 and vImpact.  They are evidence-based awards that can be completed and assessed online and they are nationally recognised certificates of volunteering achievement.  Employers have stated they value potential employees with these certificates, so they’re well worth doing during your time at Globe!

We offer free formal training opportunities whenever possible to interested participants.  However, we offer the nationally recognised Arts Award to all participants.  The awards are ran by the Arts Council England and are available at three levels: Gold, Silver and Bronze.  They’re a perfect way of illustrating what you’ve done and learned during your time at Globe and are perfect addition to your CV!
