Corners and Other Places
Bernadette O’Toole, James Quin
O’Toole is a visual artist whose practice is primarily rooted in painting and drawing and more recently photography. Her most recent work explored the corner as a metaphor for the creative process. Quin’s recent paintings appear to be derived from seemingly unrelated art histories and found photographs.
The work leans in multiple directions, encouraging the viewer to consider artifice and authenticity within the painting.
