Investors in Globe

The Globe Gallery is a not-for profit organisation that is open to all and engages with the community on a wider level. In order to continue with our mission, we rely solely on grants, donations, fundraising events and the work of our volunteers. We are eternally grateful for all of the support we receive. With it, we can continue to bring unique and thought-provoking art to the community, with no admission fees. Without it, we would cease to exist.

We have a number of initiatives to support the development of our organisation.  There are two main ways you can help support Globe:

  • you can invest your time, materials, advice, etc. and receive a certificate
  • you can purchase a certificate online

See below for more info on the ways you can invest in Globe's future.

Investor Certificates

As part of our ongoing fundraising activities for our new gallery in Blandford Square, we are asking people to invest in our organisation.  You can invest in any way you feel is most appropriate from your time, your skills, donating materials or equipment, or cash.  In return for your investment, you will receive one of our specially designed, limited edition 'Investor Certificates'.

We have seven unique certificates to commemorate your investment, each of which has been specially designed by artists committed to our cause. Every certificate is one of 150 limited editions, and all are signed and embossed with a 'Globe Gallery' seal.

Certificates have been kindly designed by the following artists:

You can preview the certificates via the slideshow below.  (Click an image below or click the artist's name above to make a donation and receive your selected certificate.)

Past Fundraising Events

Auction Room - 14th October to 2nd December 2011

Douglas Gordon, Untitled

We held an amazingly successful auction as part of our major fundraising drive towards the continuation and development of Globe in our new Newcastle City Centre premises.

We were delighted to have received donations in support of our organisation from artists including Douglas Gordon, Mike Nelson, Fiona Banner, Jane and Louise Wilson, Franko B, Mark Fairnington, Stefan Gec and many other artists.

We would like to thank everybody who donated. Thanks to your generosity we raised over £12,000 which has helped enormously, and we are very grateful.
