Globe Gallery has become the only arts organisation in the UK to achieve the prestigious Investing in Volunteers quality standard.
We are extremely pleased to announce that we have been accredited with Volunteering England's Investing in Volunteers standard. We would like to thank all our volunteers, staff and board members for helping us achieve this standard and for their great support during the assessment process!
We are the only visual arts organisation to achieve IIV and only the twelfth organisation of any type to receive the award in the North East. This is a testament to our firm commitment to supporting volunteering and participation in the arts and the outstanding commitment of our volunteers to our organisation. The award confirms we meet a range of best practice standards and excel in all aspects of working with its volunteers.
We would also like to thank One North East for providing funding to support our accreditation process.
Many thanks for your support.
The Globe Gallery.
More information about IIV
Investing in Volunteers aims to improve the quality of the volunteering experience for all volunteers and for organisations to acknowledge the enormous contribution made by volunteers.
Investing in Volunteersis unique in that it is the only standard that focuses on volunteers. It is based on four areas of volunteer management; planning for volunteer involvement, recruiting volunteers, selecting and matching volunteers and supporting and retaining volunteers. IIV is the only quality standard that has independent external validation with a UK Quality Assurance Panel that makes recommendations to the UK Volunteering Forum, the awarding body.
