Cap Gris Nez, France,  just picking some blackberries

Hi Erin, tell us a little about yourself!
Born in Toronto Canada, I love to write.

How long have you been volunteering at Globe?
Today is my first day actually !

What kind of work do you do?
I have worked at a few galleries in the past, and at the moment I am working on my personal site,

We love books! What is the last book you've read, and why should we read it?
The last book I read was Haruki Murakami's ‘What I Talk About When I Talk About Running’. I really like Murakami's fiction and this was a bit of a memoir about his experiences being a runner. I like running too.

What do you do when you’re not volunteering?
I love cooking and I am learning to bake my own bread. I like to take photos of the sky. Running here in England is lovely, swans and snowdrops and ponies.

What time of the day you prefer to go for running? Why? (I might guess it is mornings :) )
I do love to run in the morning, especially if I can catch the tail end of a sunrise.

You mentioned that you love cooking, so I wonder if you've got any English dish that you like making?
I recently made Sticky Toffee Pudding, and it was totally decadent and delicious!

Raspberries, tequila, getting mail, airports, midnight swimming

Wet feet, Jackie Chan movies

What are your plans for the future?
I hope to catch as many sunrises as I can.  And maybe see Japan one day.

What is your favorite artist?
At the moment I am really interested in Miriam Abramovich.

Pencil or Pen?

What is your favourite spot (pub, club, gallery :), hill, etc.) in Newcastle upon Tyne?
I love the Tynemouth Market on the weekend, searching through the antiques and buying fresh veg.
