Hi Jessica, tell us a little bit about yourself….

I am 15 and I am currently in year ten, but I have come to Globe to do my work experience for a week. I wanted to to come and do work experience at Globe so that I could experience how an art gallery functions and how the works of art are displayed. I chose the Globe as it is local and I’d never been before, so I new it would be a new experience.

How have you found your time at Globe so far?

It’s been really great, I’ve had fun seeing how everything works and what goes on, and everyone here is really nice.

So what have you been up to so far?

I’ve found out all about the website and how it works, and I’ve also helped with any little jobs which needed done.

We would love to know what your passions and interests are…

I am really interested in very creative things like art, but mainly textiles. I have took art and textiles as my GCSE’s at school, along with ICT and German, but I am most interested in art and textiles, because I’d really like a job in the future which combines the two. I also love going to different countries, even though I don’t go often. It is my dream to move abroad when I’m older.

Where would be your dream place to live?

Any where sunny! I’ve recently been to Germany and I loved it there, the weather is nice and some of the views are spectacular! There are so many trees, so that it seems like a nice place to live. But there are still lots of places I need to experience yet.

Going out with friends and having a good time.

Being stuck in the house all of the time.

And finally, what are your plans for the future?

Firstly I’d like to pass my GCSE’s then go on to take A Levels in Art and Textiles as my main focus. I’d also like to do some traveling before I decide what I really want to do. Then I will go to university and hopefully study something within the arts. I’d also love to come back to Globe in my spare time, and maybe do some volunteering.

Thanks Jessica, it’s been great talking to you! …and we are looking forward to working with you again!
