Hi Neil, tell us a bit about yourself, do you have any hobbies?
I am Neil, aged 25 from Killingworth. I like football, dancing, singing and meeting people.
How long have you been a Volunteer at Globe?
I have been a volunteer at Globe between April 2008-July 2009 and October 2010-present.
What types of volunteer activities have you been involved in so far?
I have done Tides of Change, Grow, A Natural Transition and Blind Corner. I’ve also done work with Marden High School and Wallsend Boys Club.
What kind of work do you do now?
I sort out receipts and meet visitors during exhibition openings.
How have you found your time at Globe so far?
I've thoroughly enjoyed it.
Have you made any good friends with anybody so far here at Globe?
Of course I have. That's one of the reasons why I work here.
Why would you suggest for other people to volunteer at Globe?
There are lots of nice people working here and you also get your food and dinner paid for.
What do you do when you’re not volunteering?
I do 3 dance classes a week. I volunteer at the Star and Shadow cinema.
We love books! What is the last book you've read, and why should we read it?
The last book I read was from Adrian Chiles when he was following West Bromwich Albion in 2006. You should read it if you like football or Adrian Chiles.
I like football, meeting people, performing and traveling.
People being silly, cricket, buses being late.
Pencil or Pen?
Because you are using pen all the time.
Where would be your dream place to live?
I'd like to live in the Caribbean because its nice and hot.
What is your most favorite hot drink?
With milk and sugar?
Just milk at the moment.
What would make you happy?
Meeting lots of lovely people.
What people, in your opinion are lovely?
Well, mostly everybody I meet.
What is your favorite artist?
I don't have a favorite artist. I like anybody.
What is your favorite spot (pub, club, gallery :), hill, etc.) in Newcastle upon Tyne?
I like Dance City because I thoroughly enjoy performing there and I've worked/met some lovely people whilst I've been there.
And finally, what are your plans for the future?
Hopefully I will get a very good job and meet lots more people.
