From grime to glamour

Renovation is in full swing on all floors of the gallery. To create a welcoming environment for disabled guests the once gloomy basement entrance has been cleaned up, the walls painted white, and the floor in non-slip grey.

Chalking it up to teamwork!

Volunteers Maddy and Hannah coming up with ideas.

We have continued renovating the volunteer space. A blackboard has been added to the first floor giving volunteers a space to map out ideas.

Volunteer space in progress!

This week we began making over the first floor of our new gallery in Blandford Square. The space will be used as an area for volunteers to work on projects and catalogue past exhibitions. We began the room's 'new look' by putting together a montage of flyers and posters to create a visual link between the new gallery space and our previous Globe location.

Story Telling opening night: 10th February 2011

Thanks to everyone who came to our opening night.  It was great to see so many participants amongst the crowd!

Thanks to all the participants, the finished installation looks amazing.  We're streaming light and sound into Saville Street and Howard Street until 10pm every night until 27th February.
