Gabrielle Wambaugh is known as a sculptor with a particular interest in materials, often combining clay with other substances such as plastic and rubber. She is currently a Norma Lipman Fellow in Ceramics at Newcastle University.A native of France she has, among her other achievements, been a guest at the EKWC in Holland and Artist in Residence at the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres.
The work in the exhibition looks at what space does to a volume. Gabrielle Wambaugh says “Sculpture is everything but what it is.”
