Opportunities

Our opportunities all focus on contemporary art as a means to stimulate socially engaging, challenging responses from young people from all backgrounds but we are not just looking for artists. We offer opportunities to get involved in the management of our vinvolved programme, to help with marketing, development, recruitment, exhibitions, organising events – anything you can think of!
We can offer you a range of opportunities on the v@globe programme, you can commit as little or as much time to volunteering as you like. We have 3 levels of volunteering commitment – each offers great opportunities for awards and qualifications.
Short-term/ taster sessions
This gives you the opportunity to get involved for as little as a couple of hours or a couple of days – a sort of one-off try out. You will get a certificate confirming your involvement in the project. You can also upgrade to commit more time after these sessions if you want.
Part-time volunteering
This gives you the chance to volunteer in our projects for a few hours per week for several weeks or for several longer sessions per month for several months. You will get the certificate of attendance and the chance to go for an Arts Award. You can also upgrade to full-time volunteering if you want.
Full-time volunteering
This is a more structured and longer-term commitment to Globe’s vinvolved projects and programme. You would usually commit to about 30 hours per week for around 13 weeks but this could be longer if you want. You will get the certificate of attendance and the chance to go for an Arts Award qualification. You might want to volunteer for a whole long-term arts project or you could become a member of our v steering group and meet regularly to help decide how Globe plans future contemporary arts projects.
We are flexible and friendly, so if any of these sound good to you get in touch for a chat.
We will regularly update you of all of our opportunities and projects. So if something takes your fancy, let us know and get involved!
